Q. Where can we buy our groceries?
In the capital city of Belmopan you will find several supermarkets with all groceries you need. For fruits and vegetables, there is a farmers market on Tuesdays and Fridays. On any other day (except Sundays), fruits and veggies can be bought on the market square in Belmopan. Supermarkets only carry a very limited selection of “greens”.
Q. Is there a restaurant on-site / nearby?
There is no restaurant at Casitas Calinas. A short 5 minutes drive up the road there is Dream Valley Resort with a public restaurant. Orange Gallery is located on route to San Ignacio (about half way) – they have really good food and an awesome gift-shop!
Q. Do we need to bring our own food?

Yes, you will need to bring your own groceries. As a guest at Casitas Calinas, you are welcome to pick any fruits directly from the trees and get fresh eggs from our free-range chickens. It is free of charge and based on availability and season

Casitas Calinas provides all the guests with coffee, tea, sugar, salt, pepper, oil and vinegar.

Guests signing up for the “Relax Package” will be provided with additional items for one basic dinner & breakfast.

Q. Are you providing laundry service?

Laundry service is available upon request at USD10 per load wash/dry for guests with the “Comfort Package”.

Guests with the “Relax Package” have 2 loads wash/dry per week included.

Q. Is there air-conditioning in the Casita?

Guest booking the “Relax Package” have AC available in the Casita.

Q. Is there a TV / radio?

No. There are a few DVD’s available – please bring your own laptop or DVD player. We do have books and games on the shelf, though.

Q. Do we need a rental car?
Yes, you do need a rental car, preferably a small 4x4 SUV or truck. Casitas Calinas can be reached on a 3 mile all-weather dirt-road. Crystal Auto Rental or Budget are both working out of the international airport.
Q. How do we get to Casitas Calinas?
We would like to keep Casitas Calinas a hidden gem and we therefore decided to go without signs. Upon reservation confirmation, we will provide you with detailed driving instructions.
Q. Is parking available?
Yes, both Casitas have a private parking lot.
Q. Do you have wireless internet?
Yes, we do have wireless internet via a MiFi-device. And yes, it’s 4G now Depending on weather conditions or traffic, it may still not be comparable to the speed you are used to – welcome to Belize . The device comes with a complimentary data credit of 1gb. The device can be recharged for USD 20 with 1gb. Make sure you turn automatic updates on ALL your devices!
Q. Are our phones working at Casitas Cailnas?

Please check with your provider, if your phone works in Belize. If it does, it works at Casitas Calinas as well.

There is a cell phone from a local provider available in each cabin. It comes with a complimentary beginning balance.
