Business or Pleasure

With over a decade of belize experience and living at Casitas Calinas year-round, we are here to assist when planning your stay. Whether fun and games, future business or even retirement in Belize, you can trust our advice.

Wildlife

Enjoy your morning coffee on your large screened-in verandah while watching troops of howler monkeys swing through the trees above.

Lazy green iguanas, darting squirrels and colorful exotic birds fill the giant fig trees along the rivers edge, while hummingbirds pollinate wild orchids, hibiscus and red ginger flowers.

Fruits and Eggs

We have planted many fruit trees such as mangos, papaya, coconuts, pineapple, limes, lemons, oranges, soursop and cashews – this is just to name a few. Guests are encouraged to harvest and enjoy our fruits.

Complimentary eggs, as available, are provided by our free-range homegrown chickens and can be collected directly from the coop.

Ecological Awareness

Being completely off-grid, a high-end solar system provides 24 hour electricity. This green energy supplies your Casitas with 110 volt / 60 hz electricity exactly the same as it is in North America. Our successful partnership with Solar Energy Solutions Belize Ltd. allows us to make our solar installation available for educational and displaying purposes. inquire about our free „power tour“!

All biodegradable waste from your kitchenette is composted and later used as fertilizer on the flowering bushes and fruit trees.

Surroundings

Well maintained trails invite you to explore our creek as it meanders through the 54 acre property before joining the Belize River. Take a dip in one of the secluded, spring-fed natural pools or relax in a hammock under a thatched palapa overlooking the Belize River.
